(1) The following authority shall have the authority to accept the bids of the following amount:-
(a) Head of gazetted third class office up to three crores of rupees,
(b) Head of Gazetted Second Class Office up to seven crore rupees,
(c) head of a gazetted first class office up to fifteen crores of rupees,
(d) Departmental head of more than fifteen crore rupees.
(1A) If the head of a public body is unable to approve the tender by himself according to sub-rule (1), he shall have it approved by an officer one level above.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), the secretary or administrative head of a constitutional organ or body, ministry, secretariat and other offices of a similar nature may accept bids for any amount of procurement for his office.
